Chambersburg, PA April 2025

F&M Trust in Chambersburg, PA recently celebrated the retirement of its esteemed President and CEO, Tim Henry, in a heartfelt and humor-filled gathering that reflected both his professional achievements and his personal leadership style. The retirement party was not just a send-off, but a tribute to the profound impact Tim had on the company, its culture, and the people he worked with daily.
Since stepping into his role as CEO, Tim Henry has made it his mission to elevate the company’s values and workplace standards. One of his most impactful contributions was transforming F&M Trust’s senior management culture. Under his leadership, executives committed to operating as a unified, cohesive body with a shared dedication to excellence.

Tim championed open communication, setting a standard for transparency, visibility, and approachability throughout the organization. His leadership style emphasized accessibility and authenticity, creating an atmosphere where employees felt valued, heard, and supported.
He also prioritized work-life balance, fostering an environment respectful of personal time and well-being—an initiative that helped retain talent and reinforce F&M Trust’s reputation as a great place to work.
One of Tim’s most forward-thinking contributions was the creation of the Talent Keepers program—a cultural shift that modernized workplace expectations. This program included progressive changes like the acceptance of tattoos in the workplace and a more relaxed dress code, aligning with evolving professional norms and reinforcing F&M Trust’s inclusive values.

In 2022, Tim spearheaded the relocation of F&M Trust’s headquarters to Nitterhouse, a major move that reflected his vision for growth and modernization. Shortly after the move, the staff encountered an unexpected visitor: gophers. In true Tim fashion, he turned it into a running inside joke, placing a stuffed animal gopher on various desks around the office—a lighthearted reminder of his approachable and humorous leadership style.
The retirement celebration kicked off with presentations from senior management, highlighting Tim’s numerous accomplishments and his enduring legacy. In a surprise tribute to his trademark humor, Tim was presented with a one-of-a-kind AI-generated painting of himself with a gopher, a perfect encapsulation of his playful spirit.

The presentations concluded with a toast of Tim’s favorite beverage—Mountain Dew—before senior leadership joined the rest of the staff in the atrium for refreshments and conversation. Tim’s wife, daughter, sister, and sister-in-law were present to share in the celebration, making it a truly meaningful occasion.
